Abridge is an ambient AI medical scribe that listens to patient-clinician conversations and automatically generates structured clinical notes, allowing physicians to focus entirely on their patients during visits rather than typing on keyboards. The platform uses proprietary automatic speech recognition (ASR) to process audio and generate comprehensive notes, including treatment plans, physical exams, and history of present illness, plus a patient-facing visit summary. A standout feature is Abridge's language support: the AI automatically detects and processes conversations in 28 languages (including Arabic, Cantonese, Mandarin, French, German, Hindi, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, and Vietnamese) and outputs a complete English clinical note.
