Overview
Manus is a general-purpose autonomous AI agent that operates inside a "virtual computer" — it can browse the web in real time, write and execute code, analyze data, build websites, generate slides, and deliver finished results from a single prompt, rather than just answering questions. It runs on the Manus 1.6 model family (Lite, standard, and Max) and added Scheduled Tasks 2.0 plus native connectors (Gmail, Google Calendar, Notion, GitHub, Slack, WhatsApp, Telegram) through 2026. Meta had agreed to acquire Manus for roughly $2 billion in December 2025, but Chinese regulators blocked the deal in April 2026, and Manus remains independent. Pricing is credit-based rather than flat-rate: Free ($0, 300 daily-refresh credits, 1 concurrent task), Pro tiers at $20/month (4,000 monthly credits) and $40/month (8,000 credits), a top "Extended" tier at $200/month (40,000 credits), and Team plans from $20–40/seat/month.
