Overview
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is Oracle's enterprise cloud platform, offering a comprehensive suite of cloud services including computing, storage, networking, and databases . For AI workloads, OCI provides purpose-built infrastructure with bare metal GPU instances, ultra-low-latency RDMA cluster networking (2.5-9.1 microseconds), and high-performance storage options including up to 61.44 TB of NVMe SSD capacity . OCI supports NVIDIA Blackwell (GB200 NVL72, HGX B200), Hopper (H200, H100), and AMD MI300X GPUs .
OCI Supercluster is designed for large-scale AI training, scaling from a few GPUs to zettascale clusters with up to 131,072 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs . Key features include zero hypervisor overhead on bare metal instances, high-performance Lustre and Oracle-managed file storage with terabytes per second throughput, and custom-designed RoCE v2 networking with up to 3,200 Gb/sec cluster network bandwidth . The platform integrates with OCI Data Science for end-to-end ML workflows and model management .
OCI has been selected as the cloud infrastructure partner for Stargate, the OpenAI-led U.S. AI infrastructure project, and recently announced OCI Zettascale10, a next-generation supercluster delivering 16 zettaFLOPS across multigigawatt data centers . OCI also offers Oracle Multicloud Universal Credits, enabling customers to procure OCI services across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud with a single consumption model . OCI is SOC, HIPAA, and GDPR compliant, with sovereign AI capabilities for regulated industries and governments .
